This study explores the acceptance of information and communication technology (ICT) in Islamic education by considering the influence of religious perspectives on user attitudes. With the growing digitalization in the education sector, Islamic educational institutions face the challenge of adopting technology while maintaining religious values. Therefore, an in-depth study is needed to examine the factors influencing technology acceptance in Islamic education environments. The objective of this study is to identify key factors that play a crucial role in ICT acceptance, particularly from the perspective of alignment with religious values. This research employs a quantitative approach through a questionnaire survey and is analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method. The findings indicate that ease of use, perceived benefits, and the compatibility of technology with Islamic values are significant factors affecting technology acceptance, with religious value alignment being the dominant factor. These findings have implications for Islamic educational institutions in formulating policies that consider religious aspects in technology adoption and for educational technology developers in creating solutions that align with the needs of Islamic education. The limitations of this study include a limited sample size and a quantitative approach that may not fully capture the nuances of religious perspectives. Future research is recommended to incorporate qualitative methods and a broader population to enrich the findings and enhance the practical relevance of this study.

This study aims to analyze the role of technology in enhancing social engagement in religious communities, focusing on the use of digital platforms. The background of this research is rooted in significant changes in social interactions due to advancements in information technology, especially during the pandemic, which limited face-to-face interactions. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing in-depth interviews and content analysis of digital platforms used by religious communities. The issues addressed include how technology, particularly digital platforms, can serve as a tool to strengthen relationships among community members, facilitate discussions, and support religious activities that were previously conducted in person. The findings indicate that digital platforms not only function as a means of communication but also enhance member participation in religious activities and foster a more inclusive and responsive community. The study concludes that technology plays a crucial role in supporting social engagement in religious communities, with the potential to expand the reach and accessibility of religious activities. Therefore, community leaders should consider integrating technology as an essential part of their community development strategies to maximize its positive impact in the digital era.

The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed various aspects of social life, including how people interact and shape values. However, these changes have also introduced ethical and social challenges, such as the spread of disinformation and negative behaviors in digital spaces. In this context, Islamic values, including honesty, responsibility, and empathy, can serve as ethical guidelines to foster positive behavior in the digital realm. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic values in addressing social challenges in the digital era, employing a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, literature reviews, and participatory observation within online communities practicing Islamic principles. The findings highlight that Islamic values play a critical role in shaping ethical digital behavior, as participants indicated that principles like justice and empathy help reduce social media conflicts, encourage information verification, and build more harmonious online communities. The study concludes that Islamic values provide a foundation for positive digital ethics, fostering a more responsible and respectful interaction environment. This research contributes to the development of religion-based digital ethics literature and offers practical guidance for governments, organizations, and individuals to tackle social challenges in the technological era.

In the modern era, societies face increasingly complex social challenges, such as deepening economic inequality, moral degradation that threatens social order, and identity crises that affect both individual stability and community cohesion. Addressing these challenges requires a value-based approach that not only provides short-term solutions but also fosters sustainable and transformative change. This study aims to explore the relevance and application of Islamic theological values in responding to contemporary social issues. The research employs a literature review method with a conceptual and thematic analysis approach, drawing from authoritative sources such as classical Islamic literature, Quranic exegesis, and contemporary studies on Islam’s role in social dynamics. The findings reveal that fundamental Islamic values—such as justice (al-‘adl), compassion (ar-rahmah), and brotherhood (al-ukhuwah)—play a crucial role in shaping public policies and social programs. These values serve as a foundation for promoting social justice, empowering communities, and establishing inclusive welfare-based services. Furthermore, Islamic principles contribute to strengthening social solidarity, reducing inequality, and mitigating potential conflicts arising from social and economic disparities. Thus, Islamic theology offers both normative and practical frameworks that can be integrated into modern governance to build a more just, ethical, and harmonious society. By incorporating Islamic values into policymaking and social structures, Islamic theology provides not only moral guidance but also practical solutions to contemporary social challenges. The findings of this study affirm that Islamic principles have significant potential in shaping policies that are inclusive, justice-oriented, and focused on collective well-being, ultimately fostering a more balanced, cohesive, and sustainable society.

Pemanfaatan Teknologi Digital dalam Memfasilitasi Ibadah dan Pendidikan Islam

The rapid development of digital technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including in the fields of worship and Islamic education. Technology has now become a tool that facilitates the performance of worship and access to Islamic education. This study aims to analyze the role of digital technology in facilitating worship practices and Islamic education, as well as to identify the benefits and challenges faced by Muslims in using it. This research uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and observations of digital technology users, such as prayer time reminder apps, Qibla direction indicators, and e-learning platforms. The results show that digital technology enhances accessibility, efficiency, and flexibility in performing worship and religious learning, especially in areas with limited access to formal education. However, challenges are faced, such as limited access to technology in remote areas and the potential decline in the quality of spirituality in worship due to dependence on technology. A balanced and wise use of technology is necessary to ensure that its benefits can be fully felt without diminishing the spiritual values in worship. This study also provides practical recommendations for technology users, Islamic education institutions, and app developers to improve the relevance and effectiveness of technology in supporting worship practices and education. Furthermore, further research is suggested to explore the long-term impact of technology on spirituality and the development of more inclusive technology in remote areas.

Islam as a Value Foundation in the Formation of Social Character through a Theological and Philosophical Approach

Islamic teachings contain fundamental values such as justice, honesty, and compassion, which play a significant role in shaping social character and community harmony. This study aims to analyze how these values shape social character through theological and philosophical approaches. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the study collects data from the Quran, Hadith, and relevant literature on Islamic theology and philosophy. The analysis is conducted in three stages: identification of Islamic values, theological analysis focusing on the principles of faith, and philosophical analysis highlighting wisdom and ethics in Islamic teachings.The results of the study show that theological values such as tawhid (oneness of God) and akhlak (moral conduct) form the foundation of responsible social behavior, while the philosophical approach emphasizes rationality in social interactions. The integration of these two approaches enables the formation of strong social character, where individuals not only behave ethically but also possess wisdom in socializing. This research recommends the application of Islamic values in both formal and non-formal education to strengthen social character. The practical implications of these findings suggest that social policies in Muslim communities can be reinforced by integrating Islamic values that support the development of positive social character. A survey of 500 respondents shows that the implementation of justice and honesty values in Islamic-based education successfully increased social awareness by 30%, particularly among teenagers involved in character education programs based on Islamic values.

Implementasi Ajaran Islam dalam Praktik Bisnis Etis pada Usaha Mikro dan Menengah Muslim

The application of Islamic ethical values in business practices has become a key focus for Muslim SMEs to face competition and maintain consumer trust. Values such as honesty, justice, transparency, and social responsibility serve as ethical foundations that strengthen the relationship between business actors, consumers, and society. This study aims to explore the extent to which Islamic teachings are applied in ethical business practices in Muslim SMEs and understand their impact on business sustainability and growth. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and semi-structured questionnaires. Thematic analysis was used to identify patterns in the application of Islamic ethics in SME business activities. The results show that the majority of Muslim SMEs have a high commitment to applying Islamic values, which positively impacts customer loyalty and business reputation. However, they also face operational challenges such as limited capital and market competition, which affect the consistency of ethical application. The study concludes that Islamic business ethics not only benefit the reputation and sustainability of businesses but also have the potential to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs in a competitive market. Practical recommendations are proposed for SMEs, government, and supporting organizations to strengthen the application of Islamic values in business to promote more sustainable economic growth.

Menghadapi Era Industri 4.0 dalam Pendidikan Islam dengan Transformasi Digital

Digital transformation has become a crucial element in the era of Industry 4.0, including in Islamic education, which plays a strategic role in shaping a religious and competitive generation. This study aims to identify the implementation of digital technology and its impact on Islamic education, as well as to examine the level of digital technology adoption in Islamic educational institutions. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and quantitative survey, data were collected through literature studies, interviews, and surveys with educators from Islamic institutions that have adopted digital technology. The results show that digital technology has been implemented through online learning applications, digital based management systems, and Islamic platforms, bringing positive impacts such as administrative efficiency, learning accessibility, and international collaboration. However, challenges such as digital access inequality, lack of digital literacy, and risks to moral values were also identified. This study highlights the importance of digital literacy training, improving technological infrastructure, and strategic policies that support the wise use of technology. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a guide for Islamic educational institutions to optimize digital transformation in creating a relevant, inclusive, and competitive educational system, which in turn can enhance the quality of Islamic education while preserving Islamic values amidst global changes.

This research aims to explore the role of social media as a bridge for da'wah in increasing access and participation of the community in the digital era. In the context of globalization and advances in information technology, social media has become a dominant platform for the dissemination of information, including da'wah. The background of this research focuses on the lack of community participation in traditional da'wah activities, which is caused by limited access and a lack of innovation in delivery methods. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and surveys of social media users involved in da'wah. The main problem identified is the lack of understanding of how social media can be effectively used to spread da'wah messages, as well as the challenges faced in dealing with misinformation. The research findings show that social media not only improves the accessibility of da'wah messages but also encourages active community participation through interaction and discussion. These findings indicate that using the right communication strategy on social media can strengthen the da'wah message and build a more connected community. The conclusion of this research emphasizes that social media has great potential as an effective tool for da'wah, as long as it is used wisely and thoughtfully. Therefore, training and education for da'i are necessary to utilize social media as an innovative da'wah tool in the digital era.

Optimalisasi Media Sosial sebagai Sarana Peningkatan Keterlibatan Sosial Umat Islam

The development of digital technology has had a significant impact on social life, including within Muslim communities. Social media has now become an effective platform to enhance social engagement, strengthen ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood), and support the dissemination of Islamic values. Based on a survey of 200 respondents, it was found that 70% of Muslim social media users actively use platforms such as Instagram and WhatsApp to support social and religious activities. This study aims to explore optimal ways to utilize social media as a means to increase social participation among Muslims. A qualitative method was employed, using in-depth interviews and content analysis of social media platforms. The findings indicate that the strategic use of social media can enhance active participation of Muslims in various social activities, such as fundraising, social campaigns, and religious education. However, challenges such as the spread of misinformation and hate speech remain significant obstacles. Overall, optimizing social media requires effective collaboration between individuals, communities, and stakeholders to create a positive and productive digital environment. The implications of this study offer practical guidelines for Muslims and digital platform managers in fostering more meaningful social engagement.
