International Transactions on Artificial Intelligence (ITALIC) is a peer-reviewed open-access journal. This statement clarifies the ethical conduct expected of all parties involved in the publication process, including the authors, chief editor, the Editorial Board, peer reviewers, and the publisher (Pandawan Sejahtera Indonesia). This statement follows the COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and the current COPE Core Practices.

Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication
The publication of academic articles in International Transactions on Artificial Intelligence (ITALIC), a peer-reviewed journal, plays a significant role in building a recognized and coherent knowledge network in the field of artificial intelligence. These articles reflect the research work of the authors and the institutions supporting them, contributing to scientific and technological advancements in AI. The peer-reviewed articles in ITALIC uphold rigorous scientific methods. Therefore, it is important to establish and adhere to ethical standards that involve authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, publishers, and the AI research community.

Publisher and Editor Responsibilities
As the publisher of International Transactions on Artificial Intelligence (ITALIC), Pandawan Sejahtera Indonesia ensures that every stage of the publishing process is conducted ethically and responsibly. We are committed to ensuring that advertising, reprints, or commercial revenue do not influence editorial decisions. The Editorial Board is responsible for maintaining communication with other journals and publishers when necessary.

Publication Decisions:
The editor of International Transactions on Artificial Intelligence (ITALIC) is responsible for deciding which articles will be published from the submitted manuscripts. Decisions are based on the work's significance to researchers and readers, as well as its scientific merit. Editors are guided by the journal's editorial policies and must comply with legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright, and plagiarism. Editors may consult with other reviewers or editors as part of the decision-making process.

Fair Play:
Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts based solely on their intellectual content, without regard to the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.

Confidentiality:
The editor and editorial staff must not disclose any information regarding submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, or the publisher, as appropriate.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest:
Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript must not be used in the editor's own research without the author's explicit written consent.

Complaints Policy:
We are committed to resolving all complaints quickly and fairly. Complaints related to International Transactions on Artificial Intelligence (ITALIC) can be submitted via email and will be acknowledged within five working days.

Duties of Reviewers:
1. Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer reviews assist the editor in making editorial decisions, and through communication with authors, may help them improve their manuscripts.

2. Promptness: Reviewers who feel unqualified to review a submitted manuscript or are unable to provide timely feedback should notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.

3. Confidentiality: All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents and must not be shared or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.

4. Objectivity Standards: Reviews should be conducted objectively, avoiding personal criticism of the authors. Reviewers should clearly express their opinions with supporting arguments.

5. Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant works not cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation or argument has been previously reported should be supported by the relevant citation. Reviewers should also notify the editor of any substantial similarity between the manuscript under consideration and other published papers known to them.

6. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts if they have conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any authors, companies, or institutions associated with the paper.

Duties of Authors:
1. Reporting Standards: Authors must present an accurate account of the research performed and provide an objective discussion of its significance. The manuscript should include sufficient details and references to allow replication of the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable.

2. Data Access and Retention: Authors should provide raw data related to their manuscript for editorial review and should be prepared to make the data publicly available where feasible. Authors should retain data for a reasonable time after publication.

3. Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original, and if they have used the work or words of others, proper citation or quotation must be provided.

4. Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently. Publishing the same research in multiple journals is unethical and unacceptable.

5. Acknowledgment of Sources: Proper acknowledgment of others' work must always be provided. Authors should cite publications that have influenced their research.

6. Authorship of the Paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. All significant contributors should be listed as co-authors, and others who have contributed in a meaningful way should be acknowledged. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript and have agreed to its submission.

7. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: All authors should disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their research. All sources of financial support must be disclosed.

8. Fundamental Errors in Published Works: When authors discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they must promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate to retract or correct the paper.
