Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of technology in enhancing social engagement in religious communities, focusing on the use of digital platforms. The background of this research is rooted in significant changes in social interactions due to advancements in information technology, especially during the pandemic, which limited face-to-face interactions. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing in-depth interviews and content analysis of digital platforms used by religious communities. The issues addressed include how technology, particularly digital platforms, can serve as a tool to strengthen relationships among community members, facilitate discussions, and support religious activities that were previously conducted in person. The findings indicate that digital platforms not only function as a means of communication but also enhance member participation in religious activities and foster a more inclusive and responsive community. The study concludes that technology plays a crucial role in supporting social engagement in religious communities, with the potential to expand the reach and accessibility of religious activities. Therefore, community leaders should consider integrating technology as an essential part of their community development strategies to maximize its positive impact in the digital era.
