Social Media as a Bridge for Da'wah in Expanding Access and Participation in the Digital Era

This research aims to explore the role of social media as a bridge for da'wah in increasing access and participation of the community in the digital era. In the context of globalization and advances in information technology, social media has become a dominant platform for the dissemination of information, including da'wah. The background of this research focuses on the lack of community participation in traditional da'wah activities, which is caused by limited access and a lack of innovation in delivery methods. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and surveys of social media users involved in da'wah. The main problem identified is the lack of understanding of how social media can be effectively used to spread da'wah messages, as well as the challenges faced in dealing with misinformation. The research findings show that social media not only improves the accessibility of da'wah messages but also encourages active community participation through interaction and discussion. These findings indicate that using the right communication strategy on social media can strengthen the da'wah message and build a more connected community. The conclusion of this research emphasizes that social media has great potential as an effective tool for da'wah, as long as it is used wisely and thoughtfully. Therefore, training and education for da'i are necessary to utilize social media as an innovative da'wah tool in the digital era.
