Digital transformation has become a crucial element in the era of Industry 4.0, including in Islamic education, which plays a strategic role in shaping a religious and competitive generation. This study aims to identify the implementation of digital technology and its impact on Islamic education, as well as to examine the level of digital technology adoption in Islamic educational institutions. Using a qualitative descriptive approach and quantitative survey, data were collected through literature studies, interviews, and surveys with educators from Islamic institutions that have adopted digital technology. The results show that digital technology has been implemented through online learning applications, digital based management systems, and Islamic platforms, bringing positive impacts such as administrative efficiency, learning accessibility, and international collaboration. However, challenges such as digital access inequality, lack of digital literacy, and risks to moral values were also identified. This study highlights the importance of digital literacy training, improving technological infrastructure, and strategic policies that support the wise use of technology. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a guide for Islamic educational institutions to optimize digital transformation in creating a relevant, inclusive, and competitive educational system, which in turn can enhance the quality of Islamic education while preserving Islamic values amidst global changes.
