Abstract

The use of digital learning media, particularly educational videos, is increasingly growing in modern education, including in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at the elementary school level. These videos serve as an effective Islamic pedagogical tool (digital Islamic pedagogy) in visualizing abstract concepts of faith. The material on Aqidah, as the basis of Islamic belief, requires an engaging, easy-to-understand, and developmentally appropriate delivery method for children, in order to achieve a deep appreciation of values (ta'dib). This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using digital learning videos in improving the understanding of Aqidah material in elementary school students. The research method used a quantitative approach with a survey design of 30–40 elementary school students who participated in Aqidah learning through digital videos. The main instruments were comprehension tests and Likert-scale questionnaires to assess students' perceptions of the video media. The results showed that learning videos improved concept retention, learning motivation, and student engagement. The majority of students stated that videos helped them understand abstract concepts such as the pillars of faith, the obligatory nature of Allah, and the meaning of the oneness of Allah. This study confirms that learning videos have an important role in strengthening the understanding of Aqidah, especially when combined with teacher explanation methods.
