Social justice is essential to building a harmonious, equitable, and civilized society. Contemporary communities continue to face social inequality, discrimination, marginalization, and unequal access to rights and opportunities. From an Islamic perspective, justice is a fundamental principle grounded in the Qur’an and Hadith, particularly through the concepts of ‘adl and qist, which empha size fairness, fulfillment of rights, social responsibility, and the rejection of in justice. This study aims to analyze the concept of social justice from an Islamic perspective and examine its relevance to contemporary community life. This study employs a qualitative library research method with a descriptive analytical approach. Data were obtained from the Qur’an, Hadith, academic books, and scholarly articles relevant to Islamic justice and contemporary social issues. The findings show that Islamic social justice encompasses equality, fulfillment of rights, honesty, trustworthiness, social responsibility, solidarity, and protection of vulnerable groups. These principles are relevant to contemporary social problems because they provide an ethical framework for reducing discrimination, addressing social inequality, strengthening social solidarity, and promoting fair social relations. The study concludes that Islamic principles of justice provide a comprehensive moral and social foundation for addressing contemporary challenges and fostering an inclusive, harmonious, and civilized society.
