Focus and Scope
Blockchain Frontier Technology (BFRONT) is a scholarly journal published by Pandawan Sejahtera Indonesia. The journal provides an academic platform for researchers and experts worldwide to publish original scientific contributions in blockchain technology, distributed ledger technology, system security, and emerging digital technologies. BFRONT welcomes high-quality research grounded in theoretical, experimental, computational, and applied approaches. Its scope includes blockchain architecture, security and privacy, decentralized systems, smart contracts, and the integration of blockchain with artificial intelligence and other frontier technologies.
In addition to original research articles, the journal may publish review articles, mini-reviews, case reports, letters to the editor, and commentaries, subject to its editorial scope and current submission policy. The journal also encourages research that contributes to innovation, responsible technology development, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The journal is published twice a year, in January and July.
Section Policies
BFRONT organizes its scholarly contributions according to the journal's editorial scope and manuscript categories. Each submission is evaluated based on its relevance, originality, scientific contribution, methodological quality, and compliance with publication ethics.
The editorial team determines the suitability of each manuscript for its respective section and may decline submissions that fall outside the journal's scope or fail to meet its requirements.
Peer Review Process
BFRONT applies a double-blind peer-review process in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another to support an impartial, objective, and unbiased evaluation.
All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Blockchain Frontier Technology (BFRONT) are first received by the Editor-in-Chief, who assigns a Handling Editor responsible for managing the review process. The assigned editor conducts an initial editorial screening to assess the manuscript's suitability with the journal's aims and scope, compliance with submission guidelines, originality, and ethical standards. Only manuscripts that successfully pass this screening proceed to external peer review.
Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements are assigned to at least two independent experts in the relevant field through a double-blind peer-review process. Both author and reviewer identities remain anonymous during the evaluation.
Reviewer Assessment Criteria
Reviewers evaluate submitted manuscripts based on the following criteria:
- Originality and novelty.
- Scientific significance and contribution.
- Methodological rigor.
- Quality of data analysis and interpretation.
- Clarity of presentation and organization.
- Validity of conclusions.
- Compliance with research and publication ethics.

The Editor-in-Chief or Handling Editor makes the final editorial decision by considering the reviewers' recommendations while maintaining editorial independence.
Revision and Re-evaluation
For manuscripts requiring revision, authors must submit:
- A revised manuscript addressing all reviewer comments.
- A detailed response letter explaining how each comment has been addressed.
Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation until the editor is satisfied that all scientific and editorial concerns have been adequately resolved.
A manuscript is accepted for publication only after successfully completing the double-blind peer-review process and meeting the journal's scientific, ethical, and editorial standards. Following acceptance, the manuscript proceeds to copyediting, proofreading, DOI registration, and online publication.
