Types of Manuscripts

Blockchain Frontier Technology (BFRONT) is part of Blockchain Technology, Published by Pandawan Sejahtera Indonesia with free and open access. B-Front provides media to publish scientific articles from scholars and experts around the world related to System Security and Blockchain Tecnology. Published scientific journals from scholars and experts world wide with novelty based on the theoretical, experimental, and numerical framework. The Journal aims to make noteworthy contributions to knowledge across the globe by publishing original, high-quality research articles in Blockchain and the impact of emerging technologies on it.

ARTICLE TYPE 01

Original Research Articles

Original Research Articles present new empirical, theoretical, computational, experimental, or numerical research related to blockchain technology and emerging digital innovations. Manuscripts should clearly explain the research problem, objectives, theoretical foundations, methodology, results, and contributions to existing knowledge.

Relevant topics include blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, scalability, interoperability, cryptographic security, privacy-preserving technologies, smart contracts, decentralized applications, distributed data management, and blockchain-enabled artificial intelligence.

Research may employ quantitative, qualitative, experimental, simulation-based, computational, or mixed-method approaches, where appropriate. Manuscripts must demonstrate methodological rigor, provide sufficient evidence to support their findings, and explain their theoretical, technical, or practical contributions.

ARTICLE TYPE 02

Case Study Articles

Case Study Articles provide an in-depth examination of blockchain implementations, decentralized systems, or blockchain-enabled solutions in real-world environments. Manuscripts should describe the application context, problem addressed, system or intervention implemented, evaluation methods, results, and lessons learned.

Relevant applications may include blockchain-based supply chains, digital identity, financial services, healthcare data management, digital governance, decentralized platforms, cybersecurity, and other blockchain-enabled solutions.

Case studies should provide evidence-based analysis rather than merely describing an implementation. Authors should explain the benefits, limitations, challenges, and potential for broader application while acknowledging contextual constraints and implications for future development.

ARTICLE TYPE 03

Technology Innovation and Applied Research Articles

Technology Innovation and Applied Research Articles present the design, development, implementation, testing, or evaluation of innovative blockchain technologies and related digital solutions.

Contributions may include new blockchain architectures, consensus protocols, smart contract mechanisms, cryptographic techniques, security frameworks, decentralized storage systems, interoperability solutions, Web3 applications, and integrations between blockchain and artificial intelligence or the Internet of Things.

Manuscripts should explain the technical problem, proposed innovation, development approach, implementation process, and evaluation results. Where applicable, authors should provide relevant performance measurements, experimental comparisons, security assessments, reproducibility details, or other evidence supporting the effectiveness of the proposed solution.

Technical novelty must be accompanied by rigorous analysis and a clear explanation of its significance for blockchain research, system reliability, security, scalability, interoperability, or practical adoption.

ARTICLE TYPE 04

Review Articles and Mini-Reviews

Review Articles and Mini-Reviews critically synthesize existing scholarly literature on blockchain technology and its emerging applications. Suitable approaches include systematic literature reviews, bibliometric analyses, scoping reviews, and other clearly defined review methodologies appropriate to the research objectives.

Topics may include blockchain security and privacy, smart contract vulnerabilities, decentralized governance, consensus mechanisms, scalability, interoperability, Web3 ecosystems, decentralized artificial intelligence, and emerging blockchain applications.

Review manuscripts should establish a clear research objective, explain the literature search and selection procedures, critically evaluate relevant studies, and identify research trends, theoretical developments, technical challenges, knowledge gaps, and future research directions.

Mini-Reviews provide a more focused synthesis of a specific topic or emerging development. Both formats must offer meaningful scholarly insights and an original synthesis rather than simply listing or summarizing previously published studies.

ARTICLE TYPE 05

Letters to the Editor and Scholarly Commentaries

Letters to the Editor and Scholarly Commentaries provide concise, evidence-based discussions of significant developments, research findings, technical challenges, or emerging perspectives in blockchain and related technologies.

These submissions may address published BFRONT articles, emerging blockchain standards, security and privacy concerns, decentralized governance, technological limitations, research controversies, or opportunities for future investigation.

Letters discussing previously published articles should identify the relevant publication and present clear, constructive, and scientifically grounded arguments. Where appropriate, the journal may invite the original authors to respond.

Scholarly commentaries should present a clear central argument supported by credible academic evidence. Promotional content, unsupported personal opinions, and claims without sufficient scholarly justification are not considered adequate contributions.

General Submission Requirements

All manuscript types must comply with BFRONT Author Guidelines, official manuscript template, submission requirements, and Publication Ethics policies. Manuscripts must be original, must not have been previously published, and must not be under consideration by another journal at the same time.

Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English and prepared according to BFRONT formatting and referencing requirements. Authors should ensure that the research objectives, methodology, analysis, results, and conclusions are presented consistently and supported by appropriate evidence.

Authors are expected to demonstrate the novelty and significance of their work, explain its contribution to blockchain research, and clearly distinguish their findings from existing studies. Technical and experimental research should provide sufficient methodological detail to support evaluation and, where feasible, reproducibility.

Where applicable, authors are encouraged to provide a Data Availability Statement describing access to relevant datasets, source code, smart contract scripts, analytical models, experimental protocols, or other research materials. Any legal, ethical, privacy, security, or proprietary restrictions should be clearly identified.

Authors must appropriately acknowledge research contributions, funding sources, and institutional support; disclose potential conflicts of interest; and report ethical approval and participant consent where applicable. The use of generative artificial intelligence or AI-assisted technologies must comply with the journal's applicable policies and disclosure requirements.

BFRONT encourages research that contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), where supported by the research objectives and findings.

Manuscripts consisting solely of descriptive technology reports, promotional material, unsupported opinions, or technical documentation without sufficient scholarly analysis and meaningful contributions may be considered outside the journal's publication standards.

All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts considered suitable for further evaluation are subject to BFRONT's double-blind peer-review process. Editorial decisions are based on relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, methodological rigor, technical or scientific significance, research integrity, clarity of presentation, and contribution to scholarly knowledge.

The Editor-in-Chief makes publication decisions in accordance with the journal's editorial policies and the outcome of the evaluation process.
